Winter in Northern Colorado

Although Fort Collins generally experiences a mild winter with scattered snow storms, little accumulation and plenty of sunny days – it is SO easy to find snow and experience the magic of winter. You can drive up the Poudre Canyon or trek to Rocky Mountain National Park for a fun day of snowshoeing, join the kiddos on the sledding hill or catch a hockey game at The Ranch. You can also head downtown to enjoy the holiday lights which are illuminated from November – February and add a truly magical feel to the heart of the city. This is a great time to visit family and enjoy the warmth of each-others company!

**Happy Lucky’s Teahouse & Firehouse Bookstore**
Visit Happy Lucky’s Teahouse and pick from a selection of 200+ teas in this quaint, aroma-filled local treasure. Choose from the selection of loose leaf teas and bring a taste of Fort Collins home with you, or grab a hot cup of tea from the back bar. Be sure to peruse the selection of books at the adjacent Firehouse Bookstore for the perfect afternoon!

**Wolverine Farm Publick House**
This creative outpost has a great selection of goods made by local artisans and a thoughtful selection of books for sale. It is a quaint space where many locals gather to write, gain inspiration and collaborate on ideas. It is also a fun space to peruse and shop local! Be sure to check out their “Little Zurich Holiday Market” every December for unique finds.

**Welsh Rabbit Cheese Shop and Bistro**
Hop on over to the Welsh Rabbit Cheese Shop if you are looking to have a cozy night in. Or call and make a reservation at the Welsh Rabbit Bistro for a delightful evening of delicious cheese, meats and wine! You will love the warm, intimate vibes of the Bistro but we can’t blame you if you’d rather bring a platter home.

**Nuance Chocolate**
Nuance is a true bean-to-bar chocolate maker with a storefront in Old Town and we are so fortunate they call Fort Collins home! Be sure to stop by their shop (next door to Welsh Rabbit Cheese Shop) and see what the hype is all about. Their truffles are out of this world!

**The Cupboard**
The Cupboard is a locally-owned store in Old Town Fort Collins with everything you could possibly imagine in the home of your dreams. This is a great spot to stop if you are searching for holiday gifts, or perhaps a little “treat me” item. There is so much to choose from and you will certainly leave with something in your bag!

**Ginger and Baker | Market and Bakery**
Full of holiday magic, The Market at Ginger and Baker is a great spot to stop for a bit of Christmas cheer. Featuring coffee, pie and handcrafted goods - there is something for everyone here. Enjoy a slice of pie and a hot cup of coffee and connect with loved ones in this cozy, wonderful space.

Featuring shows every Wednesday-Saturday and events throughout the week, visiting the local comedy club is a great way to spend a night on the town. **Magic Rat Live Music**
This unique venue is an ode to the vibrant musical culture that is Fort Collins. You will love the fun-funky interior that is both refined and off-beat. **The Forge Publick House**
The cozy cabin-like vibes at The Forge Public House are perfect for a cold winters night. Stop in for a delicious beer off their rotating tap list and enjoy the unique ambiance of this back-alley treasure. Finding this place can be a mission… but it is definitely worth while!

Looking for the perfect night cap? Stop by Mobb Mountain Distillers for a killer Old Fashioned and a warm-dose of camaraderie. This treasure is a home-away-from-home for many locals and you will surely see why. Good people, great cocktails and wonderful memories are made here!
